I’m working on a model of a star of David. I want it to have depth, but have to keep the weight down. The price of gold feels so prohibitive I hate the way it limits me these days. The sides of the star are interwoven and I’m carving it out of purple wax. The purple wax gives me the strength without the brittleness. Tomorrow I’m going to see if I can lighten it up without taking away from the feeling of weight. Challenging!
